Volunteers Needed for Outdoor Mining Sluice
Do you enjoy the outdoors?
Are you interested in fossils and/or rocks and minerals?
If so, Dinosaur State Park has a great volunteer opportunity for you. The park needs interested volunteers to assist visitors at the mining sluice.
During the summer, volunteer shifts are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday beginnining June 19.
Beginning in April, weekend volunteers are needed. You must be at least 12 years old and enjoy working with the public. Training is provided. If you would like to take advantage of this fun opportunity please contact Meg Enkler, Park Manager at (860) 529-5816 or via e-mail Margaret.enkler@ct.gov.
